Our Story

The concept for Lahaina Living Solar came from a desire to take advantage of the benefits of solar power generation, without the unsightly, bulky solar panels that are mounted on residential roof tops. Bob Hayes, General Contractor and founder of Lahaina Living Solar, started in the construction and remodeling business in 1978 and has extensive knowledge of residential and commercial construction. For the past 3 years, Bob has been focusing on building beautiful, custom outdoor living structures that include pergolas, patio covers, and pavilions, custom designed to provide years of outdoor living enjoyment.

What We Offer

Lahaina Living Solar combines the beauty, value, and practicality of outdoor structures, with the energy savings of solar power generation. These custom designs provide beauty and protection, while providing a renewable source of energy that not only powers the outdoor living components (lighting, tv, fans, outlets, refrigerator), but can also power swimming pool filtration and electric pool heaters. Solar panels can also potentially feed electricity back to your house to save money on rising electric bills and provide an alternative source of power during outages.
