A Frame Patio Covers
Patio Cover
There are several different styles of patio covers, usually located directly behind your home, and each individually, custom designed to meet your specific needs. Two of the most popular styles are referred to as A-Frame and Single Pitch. Often times, these two styles can be combined into one beautiful patio cover.
A-Frame Pergola
An A-Frame patio cover has open gabled ends, usually with exposed support beams, and often decorated with various features like steel brackets, wood corbels, and angled support pieces. The underside of the structure can be stained tongue and groove, exposed rafter, or painted siding. These structures include recessed lighting, ceiling fans, indirect lighting, and outlets for decorative seasonal lighting. An A-Frame patio cover gives the feeling of spaciousness with its cathedral style, raised ceiling and open gabled ends.
Single pitch
A Single Pitch patio cover has a lower ceiling than the A-Frame, although this height can be 10’ or more from the patio floor, but the ceiling is basically one level across the structure. Many times, a Single Pitch structure is the ideal fit for houses, depending on their design. The Single Pitch cover is usually slightly pitched to allow water runoff and incorporates rain gutters on the lower end. The ceiling of a single pitch can be designed to be tongue and groove, open rafter, or painted siding depending on your particular desires. Single Pitch structures also incorporate recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and outlets similar to the A-Frame.
From the underside of these beautiful structures you would never know that solar panels are continually generating electricity on the top side of the structure.
